Group Healing Workshops provide a supportive, creative space for individuals to explore emotions, process experiences, and connect with others through artistic expression.
Using a blend of visual arts, movement, music, writing, and storytelling, these workshops help participants access deeper emotions, reduce stress, and foster self-awareness in a non-judgmental environment.
No artistic experience is needed—just a willingness to engage in the process. Whether focused on healing, self-discovery, or community connection, these workshops offer a powerful way to express, release, and grow alongside others in a shared creative journey.
Group Healing Workshops are small groups (4-8) intimately engaging in an Expressive Art Therapy process together. It is not therapy, but does use the same therapeutic tools to build community, safety, healing, and development.
Workshops are typically 3 hours long and follow the following structure:
1st hour - Education on selected topics
In this first hour I provide information, education, and engage in open discussion with group members around the theme of the workshop. Previous topics have included Self-Care, The Impact of Trauma, Healthy Relationships, Boundaries, and more.
2nd hour - Creation
This second hour is dedicated to creating art based on a given prompt related to the theme of the workshop. Art can come in any form and there is a strong intention to focus on Process, not Product.
3rd hour - Processing
As a group, the members will each take turns describing their processes, thoughts, observations, emotions, and anything else that came up during their creation process. Members and I will share reflections, ask questions, and dive deep into each process, creating space for each person to bring awareness to subconscious patterns and thoughts. Experiencing safety, vulnerability, and support from others during art processes has shown to be healing and bring insight that may not have been previously available.

Workshops provide a safe and protected space to engage in a healing group experience. Community, intimacy, and connection have been shown to be healing to the nervous system and traumatized brain by fostering felt safety and challenging trauma memories in the body. By engaging members in Reason, Creativity, and Relationships, workshops stimulate healing and insight that may not have been previously accessible outside of the group space.
